March 05, 2015 (Kontiolahti, Finland) – The opening ceremonies for the 2015 IBU World Championships presented by BMW, March 5-15, got underway on Wednesday in Kontiolahti, Finland. The USA’s Clare Egan, who is participating in her first world championships, led the American contingent into the ceremonies as the team’s flag bearer.
The IBU World Championships presented by BMW will be streamed live on Eurovision with English commentary by Chad Salmela, and will also be broadcast on the Universal Sports Network – see schedule below. The world championships kick off on May 5 with the mixed 2×6 + 2×7.5-kilometer relay.
