March 18, 2013 (Oslo, Norway) – The US women continue to turn heads this season as a fired-up Liz Stephen earned a career-best 9th in the women’s 30km FR on Sunday at the fabled Holmenkollen in Oslo, Norway while Jessie Diggins landed in the points in 30th for a PB as well. We caught up with women’s coach Matt Whitcomb who shared his thoughts on the day as he talks about Stephen’s decision not to change skis at the 13.3km mark which slowed her down near the end of the race and may have cost her a potential podium “…her body was capable of a podium but near the end her skis weren’t.”
