August 15, 2014 (Stratton, VT) – Norwegian great, Tor Arne Hetland, needs no introduction. His storied career as a sprinter began in 1990 and when it ended he had five Nordic Worlds and two Olympic medals to his name, along with 20+ World Cup podiums. Hetland began coaching soon after his ski career ended and most recently worked with the Swiss Ski Federation and the likes of Dario Cologna. When the opportunity to work with the Canadian team landed on his desk he was excited and keen to get involved. We caught up with Hetland at the men’s World Cup training camp in Stratton, VT – their third camp following Sunshine and Bend – and he shares his thoughts on the team, the coaching styles here and in Norway, and plans going forward. Hetland will manage things in Europe while Louis Bouchard, the head coach of Centre National d’Entraînement Pierre-Harvey (“CNEPH”) who works with Alex Harvey, is also part of the coaching team.
