Janice Sibilia to Step Down as NENSA Competitive Program Director

May 06, 2015 – For nearly nine years, Janice Sibilia worked tirelessly in support of NENSA’s competitive programs. In collaboration with numerous NENSA committees, Janice was a steward of NENSA’s coach education programs and a champion of healthy athlete development.

Due to changes in essential functions of the Competitive Program Director’s Position, Janice Sibilia will be leaving NENSA this summer. NENSA appreciates the nine years of service that Janice has provided to the organization and wishes her the best in her future endeavors.

Indicative of her dedication to the athletes of New England, Janice managed NENSA’s Elite and Development teams, ensuring these athletes remained a part of the NENSA community and earned the funding support available from NENSA’s member-supported Athlete Fund. Janice also managed the New England Junior National Team in the annual quest for the Alaska Cup, helping Team New England to win the Junior National Championship six times.

Janice was a fixture at EasternCups and at NENSA’s Eastern High School and U16 Championship events as well as a frequent coach at regional Masters training camps. Janice also represented NENSA and the eastern region to USSA and the EISA. Janice leaves a legacy of hard work and dedication to the organization and the community behind the New England Nordic Ski Association.
