July 03, 2018 (Bragg Creek, AB) – Technically proficient coaches to teach XC skiing to competitive youth. Depending on skill level, the coach will be placed with groups between the ages of 9 and 16. i.e. (Track Attack, Learn to Train, Train to train) Training programs start in September and run to March. Preference will be given to coaches available to attend AB Cups as a coach, Alberta Youth Champs (held in Bragg Creek), fall training on roller-skis, early January on snow training camp in K-Country.
– Tuesdays evenings (time 5:15- 7:15pm) location in West BraggCreek) November-March
– Saturdays 10am-12:30pm (various locations in the Bow Valley, however if snow is good, location priority is in West Bragg).
– “Big skiers” mentor- Monitor training programs for ages 12-134 and check in with skiers monthly (this task can be performed remotely, with preference for face-face communication). Mentor would be responsible with arranging communication with skiers.
– “Big skiers” mentor- Monitor training programs for ages 14+ and check in with skiers weekly (this task can be performed remotely, with preference for face-face communication). Mentor would be responsible with arranging communication with skiers.
– Technique analysis with other XC Bragg Creek coaches as schedules permit.
– Create, plan and implement training camps as schedules permit for XC Bragg Creek skiers and coaches (can be regional camps)
