October 11, 2015 – Join the Maine Winter Sports Center Coaches for a 2 or 3 day Coach and Community Leader Education Workshop at Quarry Road Recreation Area in Waterville Maine. This Education Program workshops follow a two-day format with day one featuring foundations of outdoor sport and education and day two covering sport-specific skills. This workshop will cover cross-country skiing, both skate and classic techniques. Participants may opt to attend both technique days or just one. Click below for more details.

The Maine Winter Sports Center Education Program is designed for community leaders, volunteers, parents, PE teachers, and other interested adults to experience and learn about outdoor sport education, and how they can use these skills to make a difference in their own communities.

Schedule:

Thursday, December 10th 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. – Alfond Youth Center, Waterville (Foundations Day)

Friday, December 11th – 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. – Quarry Road Recreation Area, Waterville (Classic Day)

Saturday, December 12th – 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. – Quarry Road Recreation Area, Waterville (Skate Day)

There are multiple options for this workshop:

All three days: $60, includes ski pass to Quarry Road for both on- snow days.

Days 2 & 3: $45, includes ski pass to Quarry Road for both on- snow days.(Previous MWSC Workshop attendance required.)

Day 2 OR Day 3: $30, includes ski pass to Quarry Road for that day. (Previous MWSC Workshop attendance required.)
