August 02, 2015 – The CAN Fund athlete application is NOW available on the CAN Fund website for athletes to begin submitting their applications. The application deadline is Friday, August 21, 2015 at 5pm EST. Applications will be accepted from any active national team athlete who is training to represent Canada Internationally.  Summer, Winter, Able-bodied and Paralympic athletes can apply.

The application is available in French and English for ONLINE submission or direct mail.  You can access the application on the CAN Fund website via this link http://www.canadianathletesnow.ca/about-us/applications-for-funding.html  or  www.MyCANFund.ca(under Athlete Info-Applications).

Also posted on the CAN Fund website in both French and English is important information, tips and instructions relating to the application that will help you with the application process.  Please make sure you read that information carefully and in its entirety before you begin your application.

IMPORTANT: Each application is a new application so in order to be considered for funding for the Friday, August 21, 2015 (5pm EST) application deadline you must apply to CAN Fund.

Please note that our first funding priority for this application is to support summer athletes training for 2016.  Winter athletes training for 2018 and any junior level athletes will be considered only after the senior level summer athletes have been considered first and pending the total funds raised, similar to the winter athletes being our focus prior to Sochi.  The number of athletes CAN Fund is able to support each application all depends on the funds we raise each application cycle.  Our goal is always to help the greatest number of athletes as possible.  As a winter or junior athlete you are still welcome and invited to apply as applying is the only way you can ever be considered.  However, please be aware that our first focus is to fund as many senior level summer athletes as possible from this application just as was the case with the winter athletes prior to Sochi.
