December 18, 2016 (La Clusaz, France) – Norway’s Finn Haagen Krogh held off a hard-charging Sergey Ustiugov of Russia to lead Norway 1 to a mere 0.2 second win. France was all smiles in third as the home team. Germany finished fourth followed by Sweden in 5th.
Canada decided to opt out as sickness hit the squad with Devon Kershaw not finishing Saturday’s 15km mass start and Len Valjas is also under the weather as the team tweeted… “Canada won’t field a men’s relay team at La Clusaz, Devon Kershaw and Lenny Valjas withdraw due to sickness.”
Norway and Russia emerged as the fastest teams while France battled Germany for the final podium spot. Another 14s behind Sweden outpaced Italy for fifth. Finland was alone another 20s back with the remaining teams over 2 minutes back.
