December 14, 2018 (Hochfilzen, Austria) – Leif Nordgren (USA) was the top North American in 31st with one penalty in the men’s 10km sprint at the BMW IBU World Cup in Hochfilzen as Johannes Thingnes Boe of Norway took the win also with one penalty.

Second place went to Martin Fourcade of France who shot clean but missed the top spot by 8.6 seconds. Benedikt Doll of Germany also shot clean to finish in third place, 10.2 seconds back. The top Canadian was Scott Gow in 51st with one penalty as well.
