January 05, 2019 (Val di Fiemme, Italy) – Norway’s Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo is poised to win his first Tour de Ski after claiming the men’s 15km classic mass start race on Stage 6 in Val di Fiemme, Italy with Italy’s Francesco De Fabiani a mere 0.6 seconds behind followed by Alexander Bolshunov of Russia in third at 2.6 seconds back.
Klaebo continues to lead the Tour with a seemingly insurmountable 1:20.4 margin over Sergey Ustiugov (Rus) and on tomorrow’s final 9km FR stage up “Alpe Cermis” remaining. The lone North American still in the race is American Benjamin Lustgarten in 45th today and sits 44th overall.
