Ramsau is actually in Austria, not Germany. The glacier is called Dachstein, and the town is called Ramsau am Dachstein, host of the 1999 World Championships and a plethora of other WC events in XC, NC and Jumping. During the summer time, it’s a mecca for WC skiers to get on-snow training time in the summer/fall. The season usually runs from middle of June to middle of October. It’s a beautiful area, right smack in the middle of the Alps.
