The New York Ski Educational Foundation (NYSEF), the New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA) and the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) are jointly hosting this upcoming Rollerski race weekend. They are excited to make this a two-day race series and to take advantage of the Olympic venues in our region.
Saturday, Sept. 15 will be a double feature consisting of a 3-kilometer freestyle prologue rollerski with an interval start followed by a 1.5 kilometer freestyle preliminary sprint. The Doubleday will take place at 9:00AM at the rollerski loop located at the Lake Placid Olympic Ski Jump.
Sunday, Sept. 16 will feature the iconic Climb to the Castle Race – 8k up Whiteface Mountain with an average 8% grade up the Memorial Highway to the summit – New York’s 5th highest peak with an elevation of 4,867 feet. There are 107 racers set to take on this challenge!
