January 27, 2015 (Toronto, ON) – We are pleased to announce the leaders of the SkiTrax FIS Fantasy World Cup Contest after round five of the 2014/15 Viessmann XC FIS World Cup in Otepaa, Estonia – the first WCup following the Tour de Ski.

Norway’s Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg claimed her second World Cup and her first classic sprint victory, while USA’s Sadie Bjornsen placed 15th (read our coverage here). In the men’s sprint, Thomas Northug (NOR), younger brother of the famous Petter Jr., took his first WCup win, while USA’s Simi Hamilton finished 16th (read more here). In Day 2’s team sprints, Team USA’s women Ida Sargent and Rosie Brennan finished a stellar sixth (read more here) and Canada’s Jesse Cockney and Len Valjas skied to a strong eighth place (read here).

After the fifth round, team ShoSho IL Skrim 3000 remains in the lead with 728 points, while team Matcerslo has moved up into second with 708 points. Team Heckioda, VT maintains in third with 704 points.
