December 5, 2009 (Bozeman, MT) – Garrott Kuzzy (CXC Vertical Limit), and Holly Brooks (APU/Salomon) have won the 3rd event in the 2009.10 SuperTour, the Sprints in Bozeman. Kuzzy and Brooks were both quite dominant today, as both built large leads early in their respective finals. The turny, hilly and technically challenging course provided little respite for racers, and a few of the more technical corners claimed some victims as the snow began to break down later in the day.

Mike Sinnott SVSEF ODT was second and Chris Cook/Steinbock Racing was 3rd in the men’s race while Caitlin Compton/CXC Vertical Limit and Becca Rorabaugh/APUNSC were 2nd and 3rd respectively in the women’s competition.(Corrected: sorry we received incorrect info earlier.

A cold and snowy day, the forecast for Sunday is very cold. Organizers are hoping to get the 10km/15km distance races off, but with a stiff wind predicted as well and temperatures in single digits officials are contemplating a course move from Bohart Ranch to Lindley Park (site of today’s race) as Bohart is significantly higher and colder than conditions in town…

The latest word is that Sunday’s 10/15km classic races are due to go off as planned at Bohart Ranch, the women at 10am followed by the men. Updates on the race start and more photos can be found here.
