SkiTrax FIS Fantasy Fiemme Worlds 2013 Contest FINAL Standings and Winners Announced

March 11, 2013 (Toronto, ON) – We are thrilled to announce the winners and final overall standings of the SkiTrax FIS Fantasy Fiemme Worlds 2013 Contest following the one week waiting period that recognizes the Doping De-Points rule.

Check out the contest standings after the Men’s 50km CL, the final event of the Val di Fiemme 2013 Worlds HERE and read about how Sweden’s Johan Olsson delivered an astounding historic win in the event after a 35km-solo effort HERE.

And now for the winners… Team Northug – antoine-briand was able to hang on to the lead with a total of 335 points to claim the fabulous grand prize a Salomon SLab package including skis, poles, boots, bindings (value $1,497).

The second place prize, a cool pair of Alpina ESK ski boots, goes to Team CATZ4LYFE with 280 points. And Team Rob in third place with 270 points receives an awesome pair of Fischer Carbonlite poles.

January 18, 2012 (Ottawa, ON) – The True Sport Foundation today announced the winners of the 39th Canadian Sport Awards, which recognize and honour excellence in Canadian sport including the sporting achievements of Canada’s finest athletes and the contributions of others in 2011.

“The Canadian Sport Awards play an important role in honouring our hard-working athletes, sport leaders, volunteers and corporations for their accomplishments and contributions to Canadian sport in 2011,” noted Peter Leyser, Executive Director, True Sport Foundation. “These winners, along with all finalists and nominees, have earned the praise of all Canadians through their immense talent, ongoing commitment and unwavering dedication to Canadian sport.”

Mt. Borah Announces Gear for a Year Contest Winners

December 08, 2011 – Mt. Borah is proud to announce its Gear for a Year contest winners. The contest challenged Nordic junior club, high school and college programs to design their own version of a new Pro XC suit. Submissions ranged from crayon to C.A.D. (computer aided design). Some of the criteria considered for the final picks were team participation, creativity and any story line behind the design.

The winning programs will receive up to 20 Pro XC suits and Pro XC jackets to outfit their program for the fast approaching season.

– Junior Club WINNER: Lake Michigan Junior Nordic Team (Petoskey, Michigan)
– High School WINNER: Amherst Regional High School (Amherst, Massachusetts)
– College WINNER: St. Lawrence University (Canton, New York)
