Interview w/Liz Stephen – Part 1
Audio Player
Stephen, 26, of East Montpelier, Vermont was a talented young alpine skier years ago who switched to cross-country skiing from alpine while in the 8th grade at Burke Mountain Academy. Now she’s completed her 8th year on the US Ski Team.
Each year Stephen has grown in strength and confidence while improving her skiing skills, and she enjoyed her best season ever this past winter. In a recent ESPN interview her teammate Kikkan Randall called Stephen, the “glue that holds the team together.” High praise indeed.
For those that know Stephen, she is a great athlete and a smiling positive life force, that makes just being around her, a life affirming experience. In this interview we talk with her about many topics including the upcoming Olympics, the spirit of team work, and why she loves skiing. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did conducting it.
