The annual USSA Congress from May 13-18, which includes meetings of sport committees, sub-committees, as well as the USSA Board of Directors, featured an inaugural USSA club leadership conference, Excellence 2008: An Elite Performance Clinic for USSA Clubs, on Tuesday (May 13) and Wednesday (May 14). The conference included a panel discussion with several club and resort leaders who talked about what they’ve learned over the years and the issues they’ve faced, including presentations from the sport science division on what happens when one travels, how to prepare for travel, strength training etc. The conference was a big success with about 100 attendees and is on the agenda for next year.
