Perhaps the most inspiring result of the day was Amy Glen of the Alaska Winter Star’s capturing her second gold medal of the championships. Just seventeen months ago, the then 14-year old Glenn was involved in a horrific crash while out training in Anchorage on roller skis. Despite, cracking her pelvis in three places, shedding layers of skin along with other painful injuries she was back ski training within days of leaving the hospital and actually skiing by December of that same year.
It appears from her results this week, not including a few scars and localized numbness, that she has made of full recovery.
