March 15, 2009 (Duntroon, ON) – Gordon Jewett from Canmore, AB and Rebecca Dussault (USA) Saab Salomon were the winners of the men’s 50km and 30km freetstyle events respectively as the 2009 Canadian XC Nationals presented by Highlands Trailblazers at Highlands Nordic Ski Resort in Duntroon, Ontario, came to a close on Sunday. Brooke Gosling (Foothills, AB) in the second was the top Canadian in the women’s race claiming the women’s title.

The 2010 Haywood Ski Nationals will move north to Whitehorse and the Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club is already preparing for their opportunity to welcome the rest of Canada.
