April 4, 2009 – Canada’s Ivan Babikov and the USA’s Rebecca Dussault have captured the 2009 US FIS Marathon Cup series. Babikov’s win in the 50km classic at the recent US Distance championships in Fairbanks, Alaska gave him the title by one point over CXC Elite team member Bryan Cook. Dussault who retired after the 2006 Olympics in Torino has had a very strong comeback season heading into the 2010 Olympic year.
