October 17, 2008 (Lake Placid, NY) – The 2009 U.S. Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined Championships took place October 11-12 in Lake Placid, NY and the competition saw Johnny Spillane of the U.S. Nordic Combined Team earn his career-first Nordic Combined national title. In the ski jumping competition Lindsey Van won her 13th national title, and on the men’s side Anders Johnson marked his sixth consecutive victory and second national title when he beat out Billy Demong and Johnny Spillane for the 2009 crown.
