February 7, 2009 (Autrans, France) – At the 2009 World Master Championships in Autrans, France Alf Parson of the Menihek Nordic Ski Club placed 3rd on Thursday in the 45km skate race claiming the bronze medal in the M06 (55-60yr) age category. Parson completed the course in 2:55:37.1 at 9:36.9 behind from the winner Karl Milz of Germany. In second was Arkady Varakin of Russia 4:05.8 off the lead.
