2010 Olympic Skier Kornelia Marek’s B Sample Positive

March 17, 2010 Polish cross-country ski team member Cornelia Marek has produced a positive for EPO in her B-sample according to the Polish Olympic Committee as reported by Associated Press. The backup test confirms the first sample taken after the women’s 20km relay on Feb. 25 at the Games where Marek helped Poland finish in sixth place. She was receiving receiving intramuscular and intravenous injections but denies knowledge of any banned substances – read more here.
