November 1, 2008 (Craftsbury, VT) – Here it comes! The event that the Vermont Chamber of Commerce has named one of the ten best events in Vermont five of the past six years! Read on for more details of the event, but don’t delay to register. There’s a limit of 1,000 entrants and the event fills up fast.
TD Banknorth Craftsbury Marathon – January 31
– New Course! We have a new course format for the marathon this year. Skiers will start and finish on Craftsbury Common and ski a 25 kilometer loop either once or twice. The Course will be entirely on the Craftsbury Nordic Ski Center’s wide, well groomed trails.
– New Relay! New this year, just like the Vermont City Marathon, teams of up to 5 can complete the marathon in their own class. Read all about it here.
– Improved spectating opportunities. Both the Common and the Center will offer great media and spectator accommodations – shuttle busses will connect both points throughout the day.
– Same great scenery! Same great food stations!
– January 31, 2009, 9AM: 28th Annual TD Banknorth Craftsbury Marathon, Craftsbury Common, VT. 25/50 km Classic technique race or tour with kids, family and relay divisions. Starts and finishes at Craftsbury Common. Beginning November 1, register online up to January 24, 2009 at www.craftsbury.com. The TD Banknorth Craftsbury Marathon is an exciting event that could not exist without the support of hundreds of volunteers and support from the community.
