Welcome to our new Sodie Training Rap featuring two of the sport’s hottest rising stars Sophie Caldwell and Sadie Bjornsen. The duo were branded Sodie some time ago by US Women’s coach Matt Whitcomb because everyone confuses their names. Both have landed on the World Cup podium and are eager for more. This past season Caldwell claimed the best all-time US Olympic women’s XC ski result with her 6th place in the CL sprint at Sochi 2014 and finished third at the World Cup in Lahti securing her first individual sprint FR podium. Bjornsen, who’s first World Cup podium was with Kikkan Randall in the team sprint back in 2011, nailed two 7th place Classic distance results and capped her season off winning the women’s 30km CL title at the US Nationals.
We’re excited to have both of these talented skiers on board to share their respective daily training activities in this unique daily blog. Both will also answer questions from readers so get ready to learn how the stars get it done as another exciting season unfolds with the Falun 2015 Nordic World Championships on the horizon. Sadie and Sophie will alternate rapping every two weeks.
