Alex Harvey’s Leg Surgery Update

No Intensive Training for Three Months

March 20, 2008 (Quebec City, QC) – Canada’s rising star Alex Harvey underwent surgery last Friday to correct a circulation problem in his left leg. According to Harvey the operation went “super well” but he must wait a month before beginning easy training. It will be another three months before the 19-year-old skier can start intensive training again. Harvey, who is from the Quebec City area, competed in the recent 2008 Nordic Junior/U23 Worlds in Italy from Feb 23-29 where he won silver in the 10km classic sprint. Harvey also won bronze in the 10km freestyle sprint at the 2007 Nordic Junior/U23 Worlds.
