February 27, 2011   (Hayward, WI) – Here’s a selection of more photos from Saturday’s 50km skate at the 38th annual American Birkebeiner held in very cold conditions and won by Norway’s Tore Martin Gundersen. CXC’s Bryan Cook was the top American in 4th only 2.4 seconds off the podium and Ottawa XC’s Karl Saidla was the top Canuck in 9th. Caitlin Compton from Minneapolis, MN, who also races for CXC, was the fastest woman placing 75th overall – full results and more photos HERE.
