Ammann Voted King of Nordic Skiing 2010

April 21, 2010 – The Ski Jumping season dominator Simon Amman has deservingly been named the King of Nordic Skiing by the members of the Forum Nordicum, or the Union of Nordic Ski Journalists that is part of the AIPS (i.e. Association de la Presse Sportive). The two-time Olympic champion and overall FIS Ski Jumping World Cup winner and Ski Flying world champion 2010 finished clearly ahead of all his Nordic challengers. In the 11th edition of the voting he gathered 501 points, 200 more than his Norwegian runner-up Petter Northug (301) who beat the other Norwegian challenger Marit Bjoergen by 20 points (281).
