The race was well attended by Anchorage’s ski clubs as most of the 40-plus athletes were from APUNSC, the Alaska Winter Stars (AWS), and the University of Anchorage, Alaska (UAA). The Nordic athletes took to the line this morning under overcast skies and 59 degrees (15 Celsius) on dry roads.
The men’s 9km race began at 10:00 am, and the women’s 6km race followed at 10:15am. The event was part of the Anchorage Parks and Recreation Department Summer Rollerski series and today’s Potter Hill Climb was one of four races on the calendar this year. Next up will be the Cuddy Classic on Saturday August 23rd, followed by the final event the Kincaid Stampede September 21st. Here are results (split and finish time) from both the men’s and women’s races.
