March 06, 2010   (W.Yellowstone, MT) – The American Ski Marathon Series headed west to the West Yellowstone ski trails on Saturday, and hometown racer, Leif Zimmerann, put his stamp on it with a win in the men’s 50km event, 42 seconds ahead of Anchorage, Alaska’s Andy Liebner.  Whitefish, Montana’s Ian Mallam’s finished 3rd at 3 minutes back. In the women’s 50k, it was Liv Jensen of Hailey Idaho, who out-sprinted Yellowstone’s own Jenny Wolfe by two seconds for first place. Tireless Roxanne Toly of Park City, UT place 3rd with a time of 2:48:48.5.
