provided by Norm Crear

November 3, 2005 – Hi campers, just a quick note here to let you know I skied today and it was great! The XC season is officially underway as the staff were out on the trails when grooming started Monday and the public will get their first taste this Friday. Conditions in the village are good and as the trails rise, canditions get better and better. There is at least 50 cm of snow on the top of the mountain and today the sun was out, the snow dry and the temp -3 C. You can check out the main street of Silver Star Mountain on the web cam at www.skisilverstar.com {http://www.skisilverstar.com} (The site of the Dec 6 stadium area for the famous Silver Star Night Sprints).

If you are thinking of joining us for one of our camps, please send in your registration as soon as possible (www.xccamps.ca {http://www.xccamps.ca}) We have our first international athlete checked in for training and the World Cup and Night Sprint activities. The rest of the XC world will be joining us on differing schedules over the next two weeks.

Come and join us for what is shaping up to be one of the great XC happenings in North America.
