November 12, 2008 – If you are interested in a European Nordic adventures in January and February 2009 mark these two events down on your calendar. The Snowsports Festival will take place January 24-25 in Seefeld, Austria. Following that event will be the inaugural Nordic Challenge February 27-March 1 in Leutasch, Austria.

Snowsports Fesitival – January 24-25, 2009
What a start into the year: the international Snowsports Festival will be staged in the Olympic region of Seefeld, Austria. End of January, it’s all about winter sports in the cross country stadium Seekirchl-Seefeld. Besides endurance competitions like the Craft 24h cross country race, the Atlas Snow Walk and the XC Junior Trophy powered by Vaude, all participants and spectators will get the chance to check out the latest innovation by the ski industry for this winter.

Nordic Challenge – February 27 to March 1, 2009
Another brand new date in the schedule – the Nordic Challenge in Leutasch, Austria. This cross country stage race attracts amateurs as well as pros to compete in three different disciplines held in three different stages in order to crown the overall champion. A night sprint will open the three-day-event followed by a twelve kilometres long race. The king stage will wrap up the weekend with a 42 km marathon being held in the context of the 39th International Ganghofer Run.
