November 5, 2009 (Craftsbury Common, VT) – For 2010, the Masters Nationals visits beautiful Craftsbury Common, Vermont and continues the recent trend of a long weekend format to better fit tight work/family schedules. On Thursday, January 28 the NM2010 will kick off with 10km freestyle (all categories) individual afternoon races.
The afternoon theme will continue on Friday, January 29 with a fun (aka “unofficial NM2010 event”) in the form of a Dash for Cash sprint event. Racing will culminate in the NM2010 finale – the incredible classic technique Craftsbury Ski Marathon.
The AXCS National Masters serves as the U.S. National Championships for citizen skiers 25 and older (and also as a great race week for “Seniors” age 20-24 as well!). Past events have seen over 600 participants from up to 30 states and several different countries. For the twelfth consecutive year, American XC Skiers (AXCS) is proud to be the executive producer and sanctioning body of North America’s largest annual XC ski championship event.
