Banff Ski Runners Welcome Coach Tricia Wilson

October 4, 2008 (Canmore, AB) – The Banff Ski Runners (BSR) is very pleased to welcome Tricia Wilson to its coaching staff as part time coach with a focus on the youth program. Tricia, who is a well known CANSI level IV instructor from Trail Sports in Canmore, will join the program effective immediately. Tricia brings with her a wealth of instructional and leadership experience, a keen technical eye and a demeanor ideally suited the club’s objective to provide a dedicated coach for Pee Wee to Juvenile aged skiers in the program.

Head Coach, Anders Lenes says that ” Tricia is a great addition to our team as she is so well respected for her ability to teach younger aged athletes. This is a great opportunity for kids who are interested in developing their racing skills to join our program and work with Tricia and the rest of our coaching staff. ” This position was made possible through the a generous contribution from The National Cross – Country Ski Development Association.

BSR, located in Canmore, is a one of the top performing cross country ski clubs in Canada, ranking consistently as one of the top five clubs at the National Championships for the last five years. The club is inspired by the philosophy that skiing is a lifetime sport that can be enjoyed by all levels and ages. Its vision is to enable all its athletes to reach their personal potential and to that end, offers a high performance program with world class coaching.
