The Return
Before I get into my blog, I have to tell you that the response to my upcoming fundraiser on Nov. 2 has been fantastic! Check out my Team Lenny event page on Facebook. We have sold half the tickets in about a week!!! If you’re in Toronto, hope to see you there! – read more here. Ok, Blog time: Sometimes things just work out better than expected. My recovery from knee surgery has taken much longer than anyone anticipated. Since July, I’ve had to do tons of physio for my knee and I’ve had to miss out on a lot of adventures this summer. not to mention cardio training. It was hard but I committed to do exactly what the therapists and doctors recommended and not rush the healing process. My amazing friends in Canmore have been very supportive and have helped me to remain positive.

Media summit, Fast and Female, and the glitter situation
“Hi, I’m Jessie. I like glitter, chipmunks and raspberries. And that’s all you really need to know”. That’s been my usual intro for Fast and Female events lately, but I was nearly speechless at our event yesterday, with around 135 girls in pink all over the COE. Just kidding, I’m never speechless, I love talking. But still, the turnout and excitement for this event really wowed me! – read more here.

Sonthofen, Germany
I am psyched to be here in Sonthofen, Germany. I am living with German National Team skier Hannes Dotzler and his girlfriend Jessie. They have been incredibly generous and welcoming. They are going out of their way to make sure I have everything I need. I hope I get the chance to repay the favor. Hannes did a load of laundry for me, something I desperately needed after two weeks on the glacier. – read more here.

Dinner parties full of Fall’s best flavors!
My good friends, Evelyn, Sarah and Tyler and Tyler’s Mom and Step Father. We cooked up a really good meal hosted in their new kitchen! They also put me up for the night last minute, and I slept like a champ. In the morning after a great breakfast at Einstein’s of a PUMPKIN bagel (a favorite fall flavor of mine) and cream cheese I did one of my favorite workouts in the area. – Read more here.

A little bit about my awesome team…
The sun is shining, the weather is warm and dry, and the fall colors look beautiful on the Mont-Ste-Anne trails. Since our New Zealand camp in August I have trained for 2 weeks in Montreal (if you want to know more about that, please refer to the recent Death Camp video interview). And since then, it’s been back to Mont-Ste-Anne. Today I would like to introduce you to some amazing people that I am fortunate to work with while in Quebec. These individuals push me in the intensity, make excellent company on long workouts, fix my tired and hard-working body, and take care of my equipment! I’m so lucky…!!!
