Canada’s First \”Ski Hub\” Now Open

provided by Ski Banff Lake Louise

January 3, 2005 – Visitors to Banff/Lake Louise now have a fast,
convenient option for all their winter vacation needs with the opening of
the Banff Ski Hub located at 119 Banff Avenue.

The modern, ski lodge-style centre is owned and operated by Ski
Banff-Lake Louise-Sunshine, a joint venture of the three ski resorts in
Banff National Park: Sunshine Village, Ski Banff @ Norquay and Lake
Louise. The Hub is another example of a newly enhanced and focused
partnership amongst the three areas in an effort to strengthen destination business into the Banff/Lake Louise region.

The Hub is a centrally located “one-stop-shop” where visitors can
purchase all components of their Banff/Lake Louise winter vacation –
tri-area and resort lift tickets, snow school lessons, ski rentals, plus
outdoor gear such as goggles and gloves. Guests can also book other fun
activities from dog sledding and ice climbing to après ski events, or shop for logo merchandise from each of the three resorts including fleece wear, t-shirts, pins and ball caps. Live webcams will be broadcast
throughout the Hub giving visitors up-to-the-minute visuals on ski
conditions at each of the three resorts.

“We envision the Ski Hub as a total winter vacation shop. All the
exciting activities Banff/Lake Louise has to offer – we can book for our
guests.” states Corrine Harris, Ski Hub Manager. “We also offer skiers
and riders the convenience of ‘direct-to-lift access’ by selling lift
tickets in advance, enabling guests to get the most of their skiing day.
Our goal is to deliver a superior guest experience to visitors while they are here.”

The Hub is open throughout the winter season from 7:00am to 10:00pm daily
and can be reached at 403-762-ISKI.
