Canada’s Kershaw Out of Men’s 50km CL at Nordic World Championships UPDATED

by skitrax.com

March 03, 2013 (Val di Fiemme, Italy) – Canada’s Devon Kershaw who placed 5th in the men’s 50km CL at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games is not on the start line for the men’s 5okm CL this morning, the final race of the Nordic World Championships in Val di Fiemme. Kershaw was suffering during his leg in the men’s 4x10km relay on Friday and we’re waiting for confirmation of his status.

We caught up with Canadian Head Coach Justin Wadsworth in Val di Fiemme following the men’s race and he told Trax, “He has been very tired and we’re trying to figure out what is happening with him. Doing the 50km would not help us go in the right direction, so he will be taking it easy for a bit while we work to put some ideas together.”
