May 15, 2009 (Sliver Star, BC) – With the 2010 Olympic games less than nine months away and May 1 being the official start of the new season, preparation for the podium has begun! The Canadian National Cross Country Ski Team is enjoying amazing ski conditions on Silver Star Mountain. The on-snow team camp started May 10 and continues until May 18th.

The team is enjoying the Okanagan weather with skiing in the morning and biking, running, beach volleyball, paddling, etc in the afternoon. Note: Today was sunny but it has been snowing almost daily during the training camp, with 20cms on Thursday morning. The snow base on Silver Star Mountain on May 15 is 100cm at the village level and 198cm at the summit!
