release by CCC

CRMRNovember 07, 2013 (Calgary, AB) – Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts (CRMR) is pleased to announce a unique partnership with Cross Country Canada (CCC) and the National Ski Team that will serve to support the nation’s high-performance cross-country skiers and fuel their drive to the podium this winter in Sochi.

An innovative company dedicated to excellence in customer satisfaction while providing memorable and distinctive experiences, CRMR offers well-appointed, rustic mountain lodges in extraordinary settings with dining choices to match the surrounding majesty. The CRMR family of companies includes lodges and resorts in some of Canada’s finest ski destinations, including Banff (AB), Lake Louise (AB) and Field (BC). The company also owns four unique restaurants in Calgary, AB.

With this partnership, CRMR becomes an official “Podium Partner” of Cross Country Canada and the National Ski Team. In additional to financial support, CRMR will provide CCC and its athletes with access to CRMR’s mountain resorts for team training camps and retreats, as well as the use of the company’s Calgary-based restaurants for corporate hosting.

The organizations jointly hosted their first event in the spring as Canada’s World Cup and ParaNordic Ski Team athletes hosted team sponsors and funding partners at a reception at Divino restaurant in Calgary. Cross Country Canada was also proud to host its 2013 Annual General Meeting at CRMR’s Buffalo Mountain Lodge in Banff, AB.

“With beautiful mountain properties located in world class cross-country ski destinations such as Emerald Lake, Banff and Lake Louise, the CRMR partnership could not be a better fit for our organization and our team,” said Davin MacIntosh, Executive Director of Cross Country Canada. “Our organizations share a strong passion for the outdoors and commitment to quality and high performance.”

“Partnering with Cross Country Canada was a natural fit for CRMR,” said Larkin O’Connor, Development Manager. “With countless trails leaving directly from our lodges or within a short drive, we are incredibly proud to provide a home away from home for the athletes during their training. Many of our guests are avid cross country skiers and consistently return year after year for the ease of access to the trails and the quality of the trails surrounding our lodges.

Its 51,000 members include athletes, coaches, officials and skiers of all ages and abilities, including those on Canada’s National Ski Teams and Para-Nordic Ski Teams.
