December 12, 2012 (Canmore, AB) – The newly launched USSA Network will bring live coverage of this weekend’s FIS Cross Country World Cup in Canmore to American fans. World Cup sprint champion Kikkan Randall will hope to repeat her success from last weekend’s World Cup in Quebec. The World Cup kicks off on Thursday with the men’s and women’s classic mass start event. Live coverage begins at 1 p.m. EST Thursday, 2:30 p.m. EST Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday on the USSA Network available at www.usskiteam.com.
HIGHLIGHTS
• The USSA Network will carry live coverage of the FIS Cross Country World Cup from Canmore Dec. 13-15.
• Live coverage of the classic mass start event will begin airing at www.usskiteam.com at 1 p.m. EST Thursday.
• Defending World Cup sprint champion Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) will lead a strong U.S. Ski Team contingent along with Jessie Diggins (Afton, MN), Andy Newell (Shaftsbury, VT) and Simi Hamilton (Aspen, CO).
• Over two dozen U.S. athletes will be competing over the course of the weekend in Canmore.
