November 10, 2014 – Cross-Country Ski de Fond Canada (CCC) is pleased to announce the selection of Zone4 Systems of Canmore, Alta. to develop and deploy a new National Membership Registration System for CCC members.

“It has always been our goal to make life easier for ski clubs in Canada,” said Zone4 founder and 2006 Olympian Dan Roycroft, “The vision CCC put forward with this project, to find efficiencies and help clubs and divisions by standardizing and centralizing certain tasks, fits perfectly with our goals of helping the sport at every level.”

CCC’s Membership System request for proposals set out the goal of helping clubs and divisions across Canada with online registration, data processing, and membership reporting requirements through a centralized registration system.  After a rigorous review process, with a number of technology companies in competition for the contract, Zone4 Systems was selected as the clear leader in the field with the most experience and future-focused vision to meet the interests of CCC members, clubs and divisions.

Zone4’s market leading position and determination to continue to improve the service and features that clubs already depend on was a major deciding factor for CCC.  “Zone4 has built strong relationships and serviced clubs and divisions across Canada since 2001 and has re-invested into the sport through huge R&D efforts in timing and registration,” said Davin MacIntosh, CEO of CCC. “Today’s social world puts a demand on real time information and results, and Zone4 has delivered that for Nordic enthusiasts in Canada. Given our strong relationship in the past, we feel Zone4 is the best choice to implement our National Registration system.”

The project will be implemented over the coming season with consultation continuing with Divisions and Clubs.

“This spring we conducted a survey and interviews with clubs and divisions and that feedback became a core part of our proposed system enhancements to CCC,” says Dan Roycroft.  “Clubs and Divisions have unique branding and feature needs.  Our goal is to continue to meet those unique needs while also providing the standardization and centralization that CCC and its Divisions require in order to see efficiency gains.  We are excited to play that pivotal role and apply our years of experience to build on our existing products and services.”

Clubs that would like to be included in early access and beta testing of new features are welcome to contact Cindy Low at support@zone4.ca.  Development will be deployed, tested, and launched in phases over the coming year with feedback from Divisions and participating clubs key to ensuring the project meets the widest possible adoption.
