July 03, 2010 (Canmore, AB) –  Cross Country Canada is pleased to welcome Wanda Bogdane as Director of Marketing. Dave Dyer, now full-time Director of Events and Davin MacIntosh introduced Wanda to sponsors and partners earlier this week.  Wanda’s first day in the office at the Bill Warren Training Centre in Canmore was June 24th.

An avid outdoor enthusiast who has developed a passion for cross-country skiing while living in Canmore, Wanda brings more than a decade of senior marketing management experience with a variety of organizations and clients including government, corporate and non-profit across Canada.

Wanda has served a variety of marketing-related roles in organizations across the country including: Government of Canada (Halifax); Petro-Canada; The Kidsport Society; The Association for Mountain Parks Protection and Enjoyment; and most recently led Aspire Communications in Canmore, Alta.

In her new role with Cross Country Canada, Wanda will focus her efforts towards developing a long-term strategic marketing plan that will support Cross Country Canada’s vision moving forward. Wanda will be responsible for the ongoing development and management of Cross Country Canada’s marketing programs designed to generate revenue and resources required to ensure the organization’s continued success and growth. Some of her additional responsibilities will also include: fundraising; sponsorship activation; sponsor relations and general promotion of the CCC brand.

This is an exciting step for our organization that aligns with our strategic goals of building corporate support and improving external communication.
