December 07, 2011 (Sun Valley, ID) – The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation (SVSEF) will host two USSA National Ranking Events December 17 and 18, 2011. The events are open to USSA and non-USSA competitors. USSA skiers with a current competition license will have their results scored to the NRL. The SVSEF has extensive experience in hosting top level cross country races and the fields are expected to be high quality with many highly ranked USSA competitors in attendance. Join us for the last chance to tune the engine before US Senior Nationals.

Location:
– Primary location – Lake Creek Ski Trails located 3 miles North of Ketchum, ID on Highway 75
– Backup location – Galena Lodge located 25 miles North of Ketchum, ID on Highway 75 (race location: a decision on location will be made 5pm on Thursday 12/15/2011 pending snow conditions)

– Friday 12/16 – 9am – Courses marked for inspection
– Friday 12/16 – 12pm – Advance Entries due to heidiwat@cox.net for placement in USSA seeding (pay race entry fee at Bib pickup prior to first race)
– Saturday 12/17 – 9-10.30am – Bib Pickup and Day of Race registration (at Lake Creek or Galena per race location) 11am  Interval Start Skate Prologue
In order: J5/6 B&G -1km; J4/3B&G – 2km (15second intervals)
J2 through Master Women – 2.8km;  J2 through Master Men – 3.3km (30 second intervals)
– Awards following race
– Sunday 12/18 – 9-10.30am – Bib pickup and Day of Race Registration (at Lake Creek or Galena per race location) 11am – Mass Start Classic (if at Galena, races may be changed to INT Start per snow conditions)
In order: J5/6 B&G – 1km ; J3/4B&G – 2km ; J2 Boys – 5km
J2 through Master Women – 5km,  J1 through Master Men – 7.5km
– Awards following race
– Seeding for both days based on current USSA points. non-USSA skiers seeded in final groups.

– Advance registration for inclusion in USSA seeded groups (must be current USSA member) by 12noon Friday 12/16

– J2 and Older Race entry/both USSA and non-USSA : $20 PER DAY. Checks payable to SVSEF
– J3 and younger $10 per day
– Day of Race Registration 9-10.30am at designated race location. Registration CLOSED at 10.30am
– NOTE: Any USSA Competitor with current USSA points below Men: 50  Women: 65  will be granted Comp Entry

Prize Money:  1st – $150,  2nd – $100, 3rd – $50  each day for overall podium – both genders
