Founded in 2005 by Olympic Gold Medalist in Cross-country skiing, Chandra Crawford, Fast and Female, a highly dynamic Canadian charitable organization, is dedicated to empowering young female athletes through sports.

As the Official Cold and Flu Remedy of the 2010 Winter Games, COLD-FX helps reduce colds and flu by boosting the immune system – a major concern for competitive athletes and aspiring young Olympians.

“Having a strong immune system is a huge part of feeling empowered in sport,” said Crawford, who is in the final preparation for her participation in the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver. “Being healthy is the number one thing an athlete needs in order to succeed so we’re grateful to COLD-FX for the support they provide. I am excited to share the benefits of COLD-FX with those who support and participate in Fast and Female events,” she added.

Last year, COLD-FX sponsored the 2009 Fast and Female Ski Festival in Calgary, a full-day event featuring cross-country skiing, biathlon, lunch, yoga, dancing, and an inspirational talk by Crawford.

“We are proud that our product has helped to keep world-class athletes in peak health so they can give their best through training and competition, and honoured to support an organization that empowers girls and young women to fulfill their potential as athletes and as individuals,” said Steve Wallace, Vice President of Marketing for Afexa Life Sciences.

Throughout 2010, Fast and Female will rely on COLD-FX’s support to host a record number of six Ski & Chat events in six different provinces and territories throughout Canada, in addition to the signature Annual Ski Festival scheduled for March 15 in Whitehorse, Yukon.
