CVTC On-snow at the Callaghan Country Lodge Trails

by Zach Caldwell
June 4, 20008 (Callaghan Valley, BC) – We just got back from a great ski on the Callaghan Country Lodge trails – up the valley from Whistler Olympic Park – where there’s still decent skiing. Brad Sills from Callaghan Country Lodge gave us access to the trails, and VANOC is providing the PB100 and the operator to make great skiing. It’s a bit patchy for a couple of km from where we park (some short sections of walking or hopping, or just tromping over the gravel on your skis if you’re Thomsen D’Hont), but up by the lake and toward the lodge the skiing is phenomenal.

The Callaghan Valley Training Center (CVTC) team has (for the most part) assembled and is kicking off the training season with this on-snow camp. It’s hard to believe that it was just a couple of weeks ago that we were skiing at the venue. Now the rollerski loop is clear of snow. We haven’t hit that yet – maybe after we’re done with summer skiing!
