January 12, 2008 (Shelburne, VT) – Dale of Norway, the well known designer and manufacturer of ski sweaters, technical apparel and lifestyle knitwear, announced that it will renew its agreement as the exclusive sweater supplier to the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding through 2012.

“Dale of Norway is a fantastic partner of the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding,” said Ted Morris, U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association vice president of sales and marketing. “We’re thrilled to be continuing our longstanding partnership through 2012.”

The partnership with the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding began with the 1999 winter season. The Norwegian company has a long history of supporting great athletes starting with the Norwegian Olympic Team in 1956.

Olympian Stacey Cook (Mammoth Mountain, CA), who took part in an advertising photo shoot for this winter’s sweaters, said, “Dale of Norway provides a unique style for the Team that fits our personalities and gives us a functional product that we can use.”

She added, “Erik Fisher [Middleton, ID] and I did the shoot in Alaska, which was an absolutely beautiful setting. The clothes are fun to wear, so that made it a relaxing and easy shoot.”
