Diggins and Sinnott Take 1.4km CL Teck Sprints at Haywood NorAm Opener

December 10, 2011 (Sovereign Lake, BC) – US SuperTour leaders Jesse Diggins (CXC) and Michael Sinnott (Sun Valley) took no prisoners on their way to victory – unofficially – at the 1.4km classic Teck Sprints on Day One of the Haywood NorAm Opener at the Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre which has lots of snow and great conditions.

Diggins qualified second behind Canada’s Alysson Marshall (Larch Hills) as they swapped spots in the final with Marshall settling for second behind her US-Can rival as Diggins recently revealed that she has dual citizenship – both of her parents are Canadian, eh! Andrea Dupont (RMR) who qualifed 3rd fastest landed on the final podium in third as well.

 

Senior Women’s Final

 

Sinnott, who qualified third fastest behind Canadians Brent McMurtry (FNSC) in second and Philip Widmer (CNSC) in first, turned on the jets in the final besting McMurtry who ended up in second and Erik Bjornsen (APUNSC) in third.
