March 19, 2010 (Canmore, Alberta) – Registration for the 2010 Fast and Female presented by Best Buy Ski & Chat Series in St. Anthony, Newfoundland on March 27, 2010 is now open. The event will precede the 18th Annual Don’t Hang Up Your Skis loppet. Founded in 2005 by Olympian Chandra Crawford, Fast and Female is dedicated to empowering young female athletes through sports.

Led by Fast and Female’s ambassador, Alana Thomas, and supported by Aurora Nordic Ski Club, Saturday, March 27 will feature a morning of fun-filled cross-country skiing drills, followed by an inspirational talk by Thomas. Thomas is one of a few original Fast and Female participants now inspiring young girls to lead active lifestyles.
