Role
– Member Relations and Communications Specialist

Reports To
– Executive Director

Key Accountabilities
– Manage the content for www.fastandfemale.com and all other social communication channels
– Develop story concepts
– Draft stories
– Broadcast the story to Fast and Female’s community and media channels and post stories on the web www.fastandfemale.com and other online outlets)
– Manage Fast and Female‚s Membership Program
– Manage the member database
– Grow the membership program through creative initiatives
– Retain existing members through creative initiatives and ongoing communications (write and publish stories on the website, newsletters, social medias…)
– Respond to online inquiries
– Support merchandise program
– Inventory tracking
– Online purchase processing and shipping

Desired Knowledge and Skills
– Public relations or communications degree
– Knowledge of member management or community relations programs
– Writing skills – Ability to develop story concepts, write articles and pot news for web posting (on www.fastandfemale.com, facebook, twitter)
– Website content management skills
– Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint…)
– Familiarity with cross-country skiing is a plus
– In-tune with issues related to female youth athletes is key
– Bilingualism (English and French) is a very strong asset
