October 8, 2008 (Canmore, AB) – Today in Canmore, locals woke to a light dusting of snow. Just under five centimeters fell over the course of the night and early morning. But it seems mother nature hasn’t finished snowing yet, as the flakes continue to fall this morning. Although the ground has not yet frozen, this early snow has skiers excited about skiing on the real stuff soon. Here are a few pictures from the Nordic Centre, you can see in the background the rollerski paths have melted the snow, meaning it won’t stick around long. But you know the age old saying, “When early October brings snow, there is surely a good season in toe.”
